Register Rewards (RR) are manufacturer coupons that print from the Catalina machine next to the cash register AFTER you have completed a transaction. A RR will print when you purchase a participating RR product. These are advertised in Walgreens weekly ad. Like below:
If you purchase Dove Men's Body Wash, you will pay $5.99 out of pocket. At the end of your transaction, the cashier will hand your receipt along with a $5.99 RR. This can be used on your next transaction.
Things to keep in mind:
You can only use 1 RR per item purchased. So if you were to purchase 2 items, you could only use 2 manufacturer’s coupons and/or RR. If you have more coupons and/or RR then items purchased, the register will beep. This is where “filler” items come into play.
Filler items are inexpensive products that increase the total number of items purchased, so you can use more coupons and/or RR. (i.e. candy, seasonal items, clearance, etc.)
You will only receive one RR per participating product in a single transaction! Meaning, if you purchase two of the same participating products, only one RR will print. But if you purchase two different items that are advertised as participating RR products, then you will receive a RR for each product.
RR DO NOT roll! This means you can not use the $5.99 RR that you received for Dove Men's Body Wash to pay for Dove Men's Body Wash and expect to receive another $5.99 RR. It will become a wash.
However, you can use previous earned RR to pay for other participating RR products. This helps lower your out of pocket expense.
If an RR does not print, you can call the Catalina company at 1-888-8coupon. Make sure you have your receipt and information readily available.
